I have a routine last these two months, doing physical activities such as jogging, yoga, running around to gain back my vitality after a smacked head thypoid. Plus, my classes is over this semester so I dont need to worry about my morning schedule (unless when duty call).
I love to jog around Simpang Lima, or Tri Lomba Juang. Those, are my favorite places to run. Why? well, because those places are humanly healthy and friendly, also greens is at it's sufficient portion for the fresh-air-breathing.
About two weeks ago, I was running around Simpang Lima which unfortunately, no other female was jogging around there. Men and Guys dominated the field. Yeah well, kinda sad seeing that women's awareness for doing such sport activities was really critical.
In the mean time I was jogged around, also I had chances to observed strangers. And this thing bring into writing a post in the blog. Simply, about smiling. It is kinda weird here, when I smile to people, they tend to have a 2-seconds-pause before turning back their smile to me. Wow! I guess, smiling is the most easily contagious reaction of human, which need no spare time thinking to be proccessed by millions of neurons in our brain.
Not only that, some of them even heading their head against me, as if they didn't see me beautifully smiling on them. What a shame.
I observed everyone in the field, including the street people, beggars, cleaning services, gardener, pauper, and so on. This is where I found how our society has build a new class of stratification. They had longer pause to give their smile back at me, and most of them look around as if assuring that I was smiling for them. It is come to my head, that they're not really sure, a stranger will gave them a smile, even the slightest. So they have to check around again, assuring that it it them who deserved the smile that was bounced by the stranger. The stranger was me.
Another case that I found, smiling is no longer well known as a Universal language of kindness. Here's why. Some of us, had a bigger portion of worrying inside ourselves. This make us feel terrors around and terrified with all activities coming from strangers. As if, every stranger wants to harm us, even with their slightest smile.
Well, I guess it's okay to get steady for your own safety. But, we have to also looked that every human being has a good intention, has a good side on their own. Even if they are, amm-let's say, a murderer, a bitch that fucked your father, or even someone who steal everything from you. They had it. The good side. But maybe sometimes, they just couldnt express it. well, I'm not going to talk about that furthermore. I just want to pour my theory that every stranger is only a stranger. It's not good, keeping you worry level up beat on and on again. Dont you feel pity for your heart that beats so fast when your worry much?
It is good you know, to have some strangers smiling at you, randomly. and surprisingly. It could lightened up our day rite? and also it could lightened up their day rite? So, dont make your smile hard to get. Give it, pour it, spread it. Make it contagious, and sincere.
Well, if you stranger read this and happen to see me on my way jogged around later on, don't hesitate your smile to me. I promise, I'll return it. Sweet, and sincere.
